Matteo Kidd

Biography

Kidd joins Hearts after leaving St. Louis City SC 2 of MLS Next Pro.

After impressing during his college career at St. Louis University, Kidd signed his first professional contract in 2021 with Chicago House AC for their inaugural season in the NISA. In 2022, he moved to MLS NEXT Pro side Chicago Fire FC II before returning to St. Louis in 2023 to play under Head Coach Bobby Murphy with St. Louis City 2. Kidd tallied 10 goals in 41 appearances in two seasons for the club.

“Mateo played for me in St. Louis and he’s a tremendous player,” said Bobby Murphy, “He has vast experience and a great personality that will fit right in with this group. On the field, he gives us some more depth in midfield and we’re super excited to have him.”

“I wanted the opportunity to play and to play in front of fans who care,” said Kidd when asked about his decision to join Hearts, “I think this is a place where you can really have fun playing soccer and show who you are on and off the field.”

“Fans should know that when I step on the pitch, I’ll give 100 percent every single time — whether it’s an afternoon game, night game, or midweek match.”

Diogo Barbosa

Biography

Barbosa joins Hearts after leaving Gżira United F.C. of the Maltese Premier League.

After coming through some of Portugal’s premier academies, including Porto, Benfica, and Sporting Lisbon, Barbosa began his senior career in 2015 with SC União Torreense in the fourth tier of Portuguese soccer. After four years in Portugal’s lower divisions, including stints with UD Vilafranquense and CS Marítimo B, Barbosa moved to Dulwich Hamlet in England’s National League South for the 2019–20 campaign. He then played across Europe and beyond, featuring in Cyprus, Australia, Bulgaria, and Malta before arriving in Portland.

“Diogo brings us a different profile in midfield. He’s bigger, he can cover more ground,” said Bobby Murphy, “He’s got great experience in Europe. We’re super fortunate to have him here, and we think he’ll have a huge impact.”

“I feel very welcomed at the club by everyone, starting from my teammates and all the staff,” said Barbosa, “I hear the atmosphere here is incredible, and I’m so excited to get started and play in front of these fans.”

Konstantinos Georgallides

Georgallides joins Hearts after a decorated college soccer career, having played at the University of Louisville, UNC Greensboro, and UCLA where was a key contributor in the Bruin’s first ever Big 10 Championship title. He scored 5 goals and recorded 3 assists, including a brace in the Big 10 Championship final.

“We think Tino has a really bright future. He’s a clever, intelligent player,” said Hearts Head Coach Bobby Murphy. “He combines good technical ability with a high soccer IQ for someone his age.”

Georgallides describes himself as a tenacious player who is ready to grow, “Even though I’m not the most physically imposing, my passion, work ethic, and love for the game make up for it. What matters is how badly you want to win, and how hard you’re willing to work to make people proud.”

Georgallides began his career early in Cyprus, making his professional debut at 16 with first-division club Anorthosis Famagusta (2019). He became the youngest player to win the club’s Young Player of the Year award, signed a three-year professional contract, and contributed to lifting a league title with the club’s second team as its top scorer. Georgallides also spent time on loan with ASIL (2020) before transitioning to college soccer in the United States. Internationally, Georgallides represented Cyprus through the U-19 level.

“Hearts portray something bigger than soccer in my mind,” Georgallides said, “It felt like a platform to grow not just as a player, but as a person.” He continued, “to give back, to play for something bigger than yourself, and to combine joy, passion, and purpose.”

“At the end of the day, winning and scoring goals are the objectives,” said Georgallides. “I hope that leads to silverware — this year and beyond.”

Pat Langlois

CAREER BIO

Pat Langlois (LANG-wah) joins Portland Hearts of Pine after leaving Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC in late 2024.

Born in San Diego, Pat was raised in Australia, where he began his soccer career with Newcastle Jets’ Academy, honing in on his skills and advancing to the reserves. Langlois made his professional debut with the A-League’s Newcastle Jets in 2019, appearing in several matches for the Australian top-flight club. 

He joined Hume City FC in 2021, continuing to make an impact in the Australian soccer scene. He later transitioned to South Melbourne FC in Australia’s second-tier, where he showcased his scoring ability with 18 goals in 56 matches. 

Pat moved to the United States in 2024, signing with Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC. He quickly became a pivotal figure in the team’s success, helping secure the inaugural USL Jägermeister Cup and driving the club to an impressive second-place finish in USL League One.

Inspired by the growing excitement for professional soccer in Maine, Pat is eager to contribute to Hearts of Pine’s success both on and off the field. He is committed to bringing passion, energy, and determination to every match as the team embarks on its historic first season.

Ollie Wright

BIOGRAPHY

Ollie Wright returns to Portland Hearts of Pine for his second season with 32 match appearances, starting 27, and logging 2,401 minutes on the field. He contributed 11 goals and 8 assists, earned 2025 USL1 All-League Second Team, and was named 2025 Supporters’ Player of the Year.

Ollie joined Hearts from Huntsville City FC, where he became the club’s all-time leader in appearances and assists.

His journey to soccer began at a young age, bringing his talents to London’s top academies—formative years that shaped him into the dynamic player he is today. Inspired by watching his Dad’s teams play, Ollie now cherishes the privilege of having his father in the stands as his own career unfolds.

Ollie launched his professional career in 2021 with San Antonio FC following a standout collegiate run with the St. Mary’s Rattlers. Known for his creativity on the ball and his ability to excite fans, he is a dynamic playmaker who thrives on delivering unforgettable moments on the pitch.

Nathaniel James

BIOGRAPHY

Nathaniel ‘Natty’ James joins Portland Hearts of Pine after leaving Mount Pleasant FA in the first division of the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) in 2024. 

Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, James’ football journey began at the age of five when his father, a guiding influence in his career, introduced him to the game.

He first gained national attention during the 2022 Concacaf Under-20 Championship, where he scored four goals and provided three assists, helping Trinidad and Tobago reach the round of 16.

His performances at the youth level led to his senior international debut in a friendly against Jamaica in March 2023.

In the inaugural Trinidad and Tobago Premier Football League (TTPFL) season in 2023, James emerged with 15 goals, playing a pivotal role in Club Sando’s third-place finish.

His domestic success earned him a move to Jamaica’s Mount Pleasant Football Academy in September 2023. On the international stage James scored the winning goal in Trinidad and Tobago’s 1-0 victory over Curaçao in a Concacaf Nations League match that same month.

Beyond soccer, James is eager to experience Maine’s renowned seafood and stunning coastal landscapes, especially its iconic lighthouses, which he hopes will remind him of the waters back home. 

When presented with the opportunity at Hearts of Pine, he saw it as the perfect stepping stone to push himself toward his full potential.

Mickey Reilly

BIOGRAPHY

Mickey joins Portland Hearts of Pine after a standout collegiate career at Carthage College in Wisconsin, and played for USL League Two’s RKC Third Coast the summer of 2024.

Having grown up in Illinois, Mickey’s love for soccer began at the age of 4 with local club FC1974 and Libertyville High School, where his team was ranked number 1 in the nation during his junior season. Inspired by his older brothers and following in their footsteps, he attended Carthage College in Wisconsin where he further developed his athletic abilities.

Mickey graduated from Carthage College in December 2024, where he finished as the all-time leader in points and goals scored. Mickey was named Wisconsin Player of the Year twice, and made history as the only player to earn All Conference First Team honors four times. Additionally, he was named to the All Region Team all four years of his collegiate career. 

Mickey joins Hearts of Pine with enthusiasm to work alongside Coach Bobby Murphy, captivated by the club’s forward-thinking culture, positivity, and deep commitment to community. 

Further inspired by the endorsement of Maine native and renowned author Stephen King, Mickey’s decision to move to Portland was reinforced. Mickey’s father, Ike Reilly, leads the Chicago-based band The Ike Reilly Assassination, and after reaching out to King for his thoughts on Mickey’s move, King responded with some encouraging words, “Portland seems like catnip for a 22-year-old…tell him Steve says go for it.”

Mikey Lopez

BIOGRAPHY

Mikey Lopez returns to Portland Hearts of Pine for his second season and served as a key presence in the heart of the midfield and as club captain in the 2025 inaugural season. Mikey started in 27 matches, played 31, logging 2,411 minutes on the field with 2 assists. He was honored with the first ever Lead With Your Heart Community Award in 2025 for his involvement in the community, embracing the club’s mission both on and off the pitch. 

Before joining Portland, Mikey served as Birmingham Legion FC’s first captain and second-ever signing, earning Defender of the Year in 2019, ranking consistently among the top five in defensive duels and tackles, and reaching 100 appearances. He also helped Birmingham reach the 2023 U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals.

Mikey’s soccer journey began at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he won a national championship as a freshman in 2011. Drafted in the first round of the 2013 MLS SuperDraft by Sporting Kansas City as a Generation Adidas player, he spent three seasons in Kansas City, followed by two with New York City FC, then continued his career with San Antonio FC and Birmingham Legion FC.

As he begins his second year in Portland, Mikey and his family are excited to continue immersing themselves in the community and building the club’s culture.

Michel Poon-Angeron

BIOGRAPHY

Michel Poon-Angeron (mee-shell poon-AN-ger-ron) returns to Portland Hearts of Pine for his second season. He appeared in 30 matches, starting 25, logged 2,259 minutes on the field, and contributed 2 assists.

Michel joined Hearts from AC Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago, where he played as a central midfielder. He helped the club finish as runners-up in 2023 and champions in 2024 in the Trinidad and Tobago Premier Football League, while also qualifying for the Concacaf Caribbean Cup both years. Prior to that, he spent time in the academy and second team of Club Atlético Banfield in Argentina.

Soccer has been a part of Michel’s life since he was a child, often practicing alongside his older siblings and learning the game at Dion La Foucade’s Coaching School in Trinidad from the age of five.

“Hearts fans can look forward to a very measured, all-action, energetic midfielder. I am excited to help win games and put smiles on the faces of the fans.”
