BIOGRAPHY
Nate Messer returns to Portland Hearts of Pine for his second season having appeared in 32 matches, starting 31, and logged 2,848 minutes on the field. He contributed 6 goals and 4 assists, helping the team establish a consistent presence in attack while showing versatility across multiple positions.
Nate joined Hearts after leaving Rhode Island FC in the USL Championship, where he was part of the Eastern Conference winning team.
Born in London to a French mother and German father, he spent his early years traveling before settling in the Washington, D.C. area, an upbringing that helped shape his adaptability both on and off the field.
He played four years at The College of William & Mary before transferring to Providence College for an additional season, supplementing his development with summer stints at Vermont Green in USL League Two.
His connection to the Northeast and firsthand experience with its passionate soccer communities gives him a deep understanding of the support surrounding Hearts of Pine.
