I’m Vince, the Controller for Hearts of Pine, and although I’m originally from Upstate New York, Maine has always felt like home. The landscapes, the people, the lobster – this state has it all.
Growing up, sports have always held an important place in my heart. It can capture the imagination communities, bridge connections, and teach life lessons. It can provide the sweet bliss of victory, the agony of defeat, and every emotion in between. There really is nothing like it.
After graduating from Siena University in 2013, I spent 4 years in New York City as a corporate accountant. Following that, I moved back Upstate to pursue my Masters of Accounting from Suny Polytechnic Institute while working in public accounting, followed by a 4 year stint working for a Family Office in Albany, New York. I moved to Portland in 2025, and began following the Hearts of Pine from the sidelines. Complete strangers would see me in my Heart’s gear, greet me with “Up the Hearts!” and a smile in passing. I’m thrilled to be able to contribute to the club that helped me feel so welcome from the start.
